Alienware laptops, however, prioritize gaming performance first and foremost. Most laptops are willing to sacrifice gaming performance in order to conserve power and reduce heat, allowing for thinner laptop designs with more basic cooling. Higher TDP means more power is supplied to the graphics card, and that directly equates to better performance in games. The RTX 3070 found in this laptop has a TDP rating of 125W (115W + 10W dynamic boost), which is higher than the RTX 3070 TDP rating you'll find in most other gaming laptops. This Alienware m15 laptop is equipped with a powerful AMD Ryzen 7 5800H 8-core processor, 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, and of course the RTX 3070 video card. In the end, while Plutt's civilian radar dish was aesthetically more flush with the ship, its capabilities made the addition more of a hindrance than a help.Update: To get this deal, you must select Support - 1 Year Hardware Service with Onsite In-Home Service After Remote Diagnosis ($100) in the customization page and then apply coupon code "50OFF699" in your shopping cart. However, the moment he lost command, its modifications lost potency, and as a result, the ship suffered. Since Han took the Falcon as his own, the ship has been a part of some of the biggest battles in the galaxy. However, none can compare to the level of care and attention that Han Solo and Chewbacca gave to the ship. There have been many captains of the Millennium Falcon that have modified the ship to their own specifications. But rather than a civilian model, this one was just like the one Han put on the ship the first time. Accordingly, in Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, a brand new rounded radar dish was once again fitted to the ship. On May 2, Donald Glover took us on a tour of the mothership, the Millennium Falcon, no doubt whetting the appetite of Star Wars fans who are waiting impatiently. The civilian radar dish installed by Plutt shared a similar fate to Han's dish when it was knocked off in a salt cavern during the Battle of Crait in Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi while piloted by Rey and Chewbacca. The scene served as another classic parallel in the Star Wars universe and also opened up an opportunity to improve on the low-quality dish that came before. The Falcon flew with other unauthorized changes by Plutt for years until it was fully restored to its former glory. Not only did Plutt put the ship at a severe disadvantage in combat, but he also added a faulty compressor that caused the ship to malfunction and wasn't fixed until Rey bypassed it. According to Star Wars: The Force Awakens: Incredible Cross-Sections, the dish actually hindered its ability to detect and target ships. Of course, one of the biggest differences was a new rectangular radar, now a civilian dish produced by the Corellian Engineering Corporation. In Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, viewers are shown the rediscovered Falcon and quickly learn how badly it stayed in disrepair while Han wasn't with the ship. The ship stayed at Niima Outpost, where Plutt tinkered with it until Rey and Finn stole it while escaping the First Order. Unlike Lando or Han, Plutt's knowledge of starfighters and freighters was greatly lacking, and the Falcon suffered as a result. Several years passed before Han reunited with his ship, and in that time, it fell under the ownership of a junker named Unkar Plutt and was left on Jakku. The masterpiece was complete with a military-grade radar dish that could detect and target enemy ships.įollowing the Battle of Jakku, Han remained captain of the ship until it was stolen by Gannis Ducain, who tricked Han and Chewie into letting him help on a job. As a result, the ship was perfect for Han and Chewie's smuggling jobs. It later lost its escape pod during the Kessel Run. Once Han won the ship from Lando in Sabacc, further modifications were made to it that included front lights used while the ship is submerged underwater, weapon attachments such as a turret on the belly, an improved hyperdrive and shielding, along with sensor-proof smuggling compartments. These changes began even in Solo: A Star Wars Story, where the ship gained a new navigational system following the death of Lando's droid 元-37. One of the best examples of this came with the second radar dish that the ship obtained following the Battle of Endor, when Lando Calrissian knocked off the original while escaping the Death Star's explosion.īefore being lost, the rounded radar dish was one of the many modifications made to the Falcon since it came off the assembly line. However, not all modifications benefitted the ship in the long run. ![]() The freighter achieved that title over years of modifications and various captains. The Millennium Falcon is one of, if not the fastest ship in Star Wars. ![]()
